The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals state the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) “ignored important studies in its human health safety assessment of the chemical and has also violated the Endangered Species Act” (ESA). EPA will “withdraw all remaining portions of the interim registration review decision” for glyphosate, and “intends to consider what risk mitigation measures may be necessary” for the ESA consultation; and “will prepare an analysis of how the weedkiller affects monarch butterfly habitat.”
